Enjoy the World of Cartoons

Unfortunately, I am not expecting much progress with US health care. More than likely, the new legislation will require everyone to have insurance but I am waiting to see if it is actually usable. Here in the US, insurance and care are two different things. It is also too bad that the very vocal minority opposition to anything the government does has hijacked the agenda. In the US, even the thought of anything that might even resemble socialist policies sends people screaming in outrage. It's ridiculous. People still believe that we all should function as those at the founding of this country did--total self sufficiency. In a modern society, this is not feasible.

Thanks Marc.The US has a chance to look around the world to see what is working and what is not. Instead all the public gets is a mob of screaming thugs who won't let anyone say anything. They believe they are exercising their free speech rights but don't care about squashing the rights of others to speak.

I guess this is a proper comment on the US healthcare debate. While in the USA the public healthcare system is just about to awake, the one in Germany looks in a dark future.
