Ion Lucian (born April 22, 1924 - d March 31, 2012, Bucharest) was a Romanian actor in theater and film comedy, epigramist, director at Excelsior theater , a member of honor of the National Theatre Bucharest.
Almost seven decades has been steadily on stage.
It is a great loss to the art world and the Romanian people.
God rest his soul!

He was born on November 24, 1941 at Ocna Sibiu. He died at Bucarest , Wednesday, January 25, 2012, on the stage where they have to play a show.
It is a great loss to the art world and the Roman people.

Johnny Răducanu (born Răducan Crețu; December 1, 1931 – September 19, 2011), was a Romanian Jazz musician, of Romani ethnic background, whose family has a long musical tradition dating back to the 17th century.
Răducanu was born in Brăila, and started playing the double bass at the age of 19; however, his instruments of choice is the piano. Among his countless collaborations outside Romania were those with Art Farmer (trumpet) and Slide Hampton (trombone), as well as Friedrich Gulda (piano) and Guido Manusardi (piano).
In 1987 Johnny Răducanu received an honorary membership in the Louis Armstrong Academy in New Orleans. He was the founder of the Romanian Jazz school, and during a musical career spanning over half a century, he discovered, nurtured and trained several generations of Romanian jazz musicians. Leonard Feather named him "Mr. Jazz of Romania". Johnny Răducanu is (was?) the President of the Romanian Jazz Federation.
In 1999 he recorded "Jazz over the Carpathians - Johnny Raducanu meets Theodora Enache".
In 2005 he recorded an album entitled "Jazz Bestament" in Paris, produced by Tescani Production.

Lucian Bute (born February 28, 1980 in Pechea, Galaţi County) is a Romanian-Canadian professional boxer living and fighting out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Bute is the current IBF Super Middleweight champion. BoxRec has ranked Bute as the 8th pound for pound best boxer in the world and number 1 at the Super Middleweight in 2011.
Lucian Bute successfully defended his IBF Super Middleweight title for the eighth time in a row in Romania on July 9th against the previously unbeaten Jean-Paul Mendy of France. The Frenchman was the IBF's No 1 contender and the mandatory challenger.This was Bute's first defense in Romania and his second fight there since 2005. The event took place at Romexpo and Bute won in the fourth round by knock out.
