the clip above is actually a fine example about the topic of freedom. ...freedom of press, ... freedom of speech. channel thirteen is a highly respected and well known american public broadcast station, that reports nationwide very critically about the war in iraq and is a great excample of good journalism. your cartoon about freedom has none of that. sorry.

Cartoons always don't expression any idea or solution, sometimes they only show results which everybody can't see.
Talking about solutions, you are right. But if there is no ironic visualisation of an idea, it's no cartoon, it's just an image.
Okay, this cartoon has an idea, but it's silly and one-sided. Do you really think this image shows a result of something?
There are great cartoons which make a joke or political parody of the Statue of Liberty in a smart way, like "Freiheit" or "Marx Statue".
This one is pure millitant angry propaganda.
