I Am Lost
By Peter S. Quinn
I am lost like the wind,
But I know not what it is;
Hope is like some candy
In a pocket,
Will not be missed
Or become dear.
If it's a mere wish,
First you have to grab it
And unlock it.
Like all of success
Is only approximately,
So is everything
Which implements each being;
Much is really - knowing
What is a part of me,
Learning with the senses
Actually then seeing.
They are then together
As strangers apart,
A moment or a word
That tingles in an ear;
Each of what is other
Is known by the heart,
Always in such meaning
To be close enough
And dear.
