- Discontent with the Ghani government (more precisely how this government treated its army: unreliable salary payments, poor suply even in combat).
- The standpoint that the Afghan people should not follow to an American direction.
- Approval to the Taliban's ideas. (especially the idea of male supremacy - the members of the ANA are often from rural regions and are often poorly educated)
- Religiosity that forbids fighting godly warriors.
Remark: the shown scenario may be assumed because the Taliban receive substancial monetary support from the United Arab Emirates.
