Verhandlungen über ein UN-Plastikabkommen in Genf sind vorerst gescheitert. Rund 180 Länder konnten sich auch nach drei Jahren Verhandlungen nicht auf einen gemeinsamen Vertragstext einigen.

Negotiations on a UN plastics agreement in Geneva have now failed. Even after three years of negotiations, around 180 countries were unable to agree on a joint treaty text.
